Ever since i put in my hot cam kit, i have had nothing but problems...none of them i believe are major (at least for now).

I am now leaking oil from the crank/opti area, there is a rattling from under the car when i am at a stop light (i believe that it is the exhaust) and my suspension has started to make more noise now.

I know that the suspension has nothing to do with the cam kit, but is it possible that the vibration from under the car could be due to the cam because of the increased loping of the cam? Also has anybody else had this problem with the oil leak in this area...i have tried everything...

 

guess im the only one with exhaust clearance issues...grrr!!!! Maybe i can try some header wrap to try to deaden the vibration.

Any suggestions?

 

As for the oil leaking...have you checked the crank seal and also when you installed the cam and removed the timing cover, did it tear the seal between the oil pan and timing cover? I would check those two things and I would also check around the timing cover to make sure the gasket sealed good. As for the rattling, best thing would be just to get under there and see if your exhaust has any kinda clearnce issues. Did you install headers or anything at the same time?

 

no, didnt do headers at the same time. I did notice that when i did do my exhaust that the clearance they said i should have all the way around the pipes was not that big in all spots, some areas there was more room, some was less...

That is what i am hoping is the rattle. Is there any chance that it could be the driveshaft??? Cuz that would be a REALLY big problem... Any input guys!????
