Problem since cars performance has gone up

I have owned my car for 3 years and in the last week have got it to run as fast as it ever has. Now when i start the car it will take up to 4 tries and finally it turns over. It always started the first time every time till lately. Is there a possible problem to fix? I haven't done anything but change the pcv valve and the hose for it lately. I have done most of my mods within the last and none of the biggies since the start problem.

It's common for the check valve in the fuel pump to get stuck open and then the car won't hold fuel pressure for proper starting. Connect a fuel pressure gauge to the fuel rail's Schrader valve and monitor the fuel pressure when you turn the key to On, not start. The fuel pump should prime the system for about 2 seconds and then shut off. The fuel pressure should come up into the 30's and then stay there. If it bleeds down rapidly, your check valve is stuck open. You either need to replace the fuel pump or see if you can clean the check valve (not very accessable).
