Problem with LT1 need help!!

I recently changed my water pump on my 95 formula and while putting back on the wires on the opti-spark crossed some up. I took it to a friends shop and had him fix it. Afterwards the car ran as smooth as it did before and I had no misses. On the way home i got in it a little and when I came to the next stoplight my motor sounded crazy. It sounds like their is a huge air leak but my headers seem to be sealed properly. The valvetrain sounds a little noisy too but no knocking of any sort and the car runs and idles perfectly except for a loss of power while driing around and that sound like the motor is sucking in or losing a ton of air. I have no idea what is going on. All help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Heath

Make sure your intake is connected to the TB correctly.

Is your oil pressure reading normal?

Did you check for a loose spark plug?

Well if your oil guage says it reads nothing. What do you mean by that? as in when you start the car, the oil pressure gauge does not move? Does it move a little bit? Is underneath the red area. If your not getting any oil pressure reading, I would adivse against driving it right now. You dont want to blow that motor.

The car should shut off as soon as it senses no oil pressure...I had a hose pop off when i first go my car (on a trip) and it shut off on me.

If the gauge meter is over to the far LEFT. Then the gauge is Pegged. Did anyone remove the intake manifold or something? I didnt and my guage is to the left as well (pegged) I took my intake off and accidently hit a wire leading to the sending unit on accident. So now I have Auto meter gauges in car to read the oil.

check to make sure that the oil sending unit did not get damaged. If the valves are rattling bad then the oil pump is not functioning. If this is the case you need to check it and make sure. If it is not functioning then you are going to have to pull a bearing cap and check to make sure that none of your bearings got burned. It doesnt take long for a bearing to get damaged. The oil sending unit is on the back side of the motor and nearly imposible to get to.
