Problem with injectors..

or maybe I need different injector clips, but I am having trouble getting my bosch injectors to fit with the OEM injector clips because the ring around the replacement injector doesnt go all the way around like the stock one..

Is there a different injector clip.. or do i need to get a set of injectors that have the retainer grove all the way around the injector??

Common problem with the Bosch/SVO/FMS injectors. A lot of us run without the clips. Once the rails are tightened down, there's no place for the injectors to go. The can't fall out. I have a set of Bosch 64's, running at 58psi, no clips, and haven't had a leak in the 9 years they've been in the engine.

Thank you for your reply Injuneer. I jokingly told my wife we would just run them without the clips and she almost spit out her beer lmao.

I run my fast injectors without the clips @ 60psi. 45k miles 3 camshafts and 2 port jobs later no leaks. What I will say is to install the injectors deep into the fuel rail and try to have them sit high in the boss on the intake to keep them in place. I have seen some slip down just a bit on others cars but mine havent moved.

No clips here, no one uses them on aftermarket injectors.
