Problem!!! Fuel Pump???
I just did a U-turn on a divided road; I went around real fast because I saw a break in traffic, then I got on it hard to out accelerate the upcoming cars. Well, near the higher RPM's of first gear (not exactly sure where, maybe about 5000-5200 RPM's, I was looking in the rear view mirror), the car died like it hit the rev limiter. But, I could tell from the sound of it I was nowhere near redlining. Funny thing was it did it for about a second (and we all know that is a long time when trying to accelerate fast) and then that stopped and the car continued accelerating to even higher RPM's to it's normal shift point, then shifted with no more problems.
I have tried a few test acceleration runs and it hasn't happened again.
Was it because I have less then half a tank and took the U-turn very fast and it might have taken fuel or fuel pressure away from the fuel pump or could the pump be going

I could have been because you were low on gas. If your gauge said ½ tank, you really had 1/8th; and at that point the gas will slosh around quite a lot.
I wouldn’t worry about it unless it happens again.

The way our tank works, there is a collector bucket around the fuel pump for the sole purpose of not letting the pump go dry around fast turns or under hard braking. It was something else man...

Any suggestion as to what it could be?

Does a failing OPTI feel similar to the fuel cut-off from the rev limiter? Could that be it, would it do it intermittently?

An opti can do that, but it could be other things, too. Check your coil connections and coil wire.

Would I just be looking for loose or bad connections, or is there an in depth inspection I should do, if so what is it?

Loose terminals, corrosion, etc. You might even want to check your coil wire's resistance with a meter.

Would you happen to have a good # for the resistance or just check it against the plug wires? Also, Thanks for the help!
I have about 53,000 miles on it so I guess I'm due for a plug and wire change anyway. I may just do that!?!
