problem after head $ cam swap

ok i took my car for a ride yesterday and i was running it pretty hard. i whas a wot when all the sudden it lost alot of power, so i let off the gas and it died so i coasted to a stop and started it back up. my oil pressure was really low so i limped it home and turned it off, let it cool, and started it up. my oil pressure was fine and it ran smooth as ever. so i took it for a ride. the oil pressure was fine untill i starded geting on it then it did the same thing again

between the red and the 1/4 mark. if i rev it a little it goes up to the 1/4 mark and if i let it idle it will go down into the red and the check guages light comes on

When you changed your springs, did you ever change the oil after a hundred miles or so? New valve train components are known to shed a little metal.

A lot of LT1s see around 20 (1/4). Cold startup is around 40-45.

Re: problem after head $ cam swap

I had this problem a while back after I swapped cam/valvetrain.

I removed the factory oil cooler and the junk Fram oil filter and now everything is fine.
