priming oil then sitting??
priming oil then sitting??
I want to finish my engine but I have not primed the oil pump yet (I want to use the drill method). I want to prime it so I can get the intake on and wire up the plugs and stuff but the problem is the engine might sit for atleast another month or two. Once I drop the engine in I need to get some fuel line related componenets and a mail order tune before I can even fire it up. Will the engine sitting for a couple months after an oil prime be a bad idea? I dont want to have to remove the intake and prime it again!
Does anyone have any advice?

I guess I have to do more research then. I wanted to bolt it all together, drop it in, THEN see what all was required to finish the fuel system. Im going to make a quick photoshop drawing to get some help on that and start a new thread with it. I think that would be the last thing I need. I just hope the tranny&shifter install go OK or it could easily be down longer.
I dont think its going to be a big problem. I prime4d mine 3 months ago, still havent fired the motor. Everything was put together with assembly lube anyway so its not like the brgs will be dry for the first few moments of cranking.
