So my LT1 is going together, but I am reminded of when I had my buddy's Jeep motor apart. When we put it back together, the oil pressure would not come up until we popped the distributor off and put some gear oil down into the oil pump. My question is, am I going to have to prime my oil pump on the LT1, even though it doesn't mention anthing about it in the repair manual? If so, how do you prime the pump on an LT1?

 

OK, I was a noob and posted before searching. I'll just spin it up before putting the manifold on.
