Pretty crappy night at the track tonight...

Took it out tonight b/c it was COLD AS I dunno what here in Florida tonight. It was well into the 30's and the DA was ridiculously low.

Unfortunately that translated into 48* track temps and the track was slippery as ice it seemed. Poor prep and idiots dragging water out of the waterbox with their street radials didn't help.

Anywho... pulled the wheels on my first pass then had to shut down b/c the car lost grip and started spinning. Second pass was a waste, complete spin and started veering off.

Last pass I dropped the M/T's to 12psi... spun on launch, let off, got back on.. had to let off again.. managed to MPH 118.67. Car was breaking up on the big end on me, looks like I either have plug or opti issues now popping up on me. I haven't swapped my 918's out yet so that could be it too.

Car definitely has 120+ traps in it, but needs some tweaking still.. haven't made any changes since I was last out.

Sorry to hear about everything! I wasn't too impressed with MMP last summer and I wasn't even on the track.

I've got my PAC-1518s and new titanium retainers ready to install. Just decided to put the install off over the holidays. You need to get going on your's.

I did however get the new tranny and converter installed just before Christmas. And, everything seems to be good.

Are you going to the Shoot-Out?

I can't even remember what 30's feels like let alone imagine racing in it. Congrats on getting back to the track and good luck sorting out your issues.

What did you mph in the 1/8th?

I was trying to get to the track but its not even worth it if that track temp isn't right.....might as well go spin tires on the highway

No, probably not going to the shoot out. Timing isn't quite right and it's a hell of a drive for me from here.

MMP pretty much sucks. It's always been hit or miss there, sometimes you'll hook, sometimes you don't. I think it depends on the track manager's mood? I've hooked in 32* weather before out at Bradenton Motorsports Park on the west coast.

I'm going to try to jump on the springs this week, and pull my plugs to take a look at things and see if I can find where this miss is originating from... I hate the LT1 ignition system.

Thanks dude, gonna take some tinkering but hopefully I'll be out again in a few weeks. MPH was 94.11 in the 1/8.. close to my old best 1/8 mph as well, so it would have been nice if I would have had the power that I lost from letting off twice.

Even with some cold track temps you can hook as long as the facility gives a **** :/

I noticed the 30 degree temps on the news in south Florida yesterday! Do they sell snow shovels there in WPB?
