Im finally ready to take the heads to a machine shop, while taking the intake manifold off and the heads ive had alot of debri fall into the "oil valley i think it is" i know this isnt good. Anyone have tips on how to clean this mess?

Also i just purchased a 1/2 inch torque wrench from Harbor Freight, For the intake manifold bolts ive read that the 1st pass is 71in-lbs--> what does this transfer to ft-lbs? Final pass is 35ft-lbs right?

Lastly i bought ARP headbolts on the paper it states torque in three equal steps to 70ft lbs!! Does this mean 1,2,3rd pass all at 23ft-lbs? Thanks

It would be 23, 57, 71. Use high temp thread sealant . Vacuum out the crap with a high power vacuum.
