Ive done a search already and didnt really find what i was looking for. My buddy runs a locker like this in his open diff in his 72 chevelle, it is a 12 bolt but he is running high 11's w/ no boost on the stock carrier, (he has the blower in the garage) Will this locker fulfill what i am looking for traction wise. He says get the damn thing. What do you guys think.

wont work on your 96z unless you buy an open carrier also, these lock right units only fit in open carriers

 

i have the open carrier from my 91 formula, and those rear ends are the same so It will work.
