Re: Powermaster Alternator

My Summit receipt shows Powermaster 200 amp PWM-47805.

I bought it and installed June 2004.

Beware, It works great after you saw off the mounting ears on the backside that isn't used.

I also upgraded the ground wire to battery with 4 ga and also 4 ga pos to battery. The sucker kicks butt big time with the smaller pulley that I installed to match the Underdrive crank pulley.

Re: Powermaster Alternator

I also need a new alternator soon, and I have a lot of draw from my stereo equipment, does anyone else know of any other options? Just trying to see all of my choices here.

yeah i wish there were more options, i would like something better than the stock 140, but i wonder if the 200 amp is overkill?

Re: Powermaster Alternator

I'm trying to get anwsers from some of these company on the alternators. The 200 amp. will not be to much. I'm just tring to find the right alternator for these cars with out any problems. I will post an answer when I get the corrrect answer myself. Right now in South Florida I have this storm coming right at me. So i'm tring to take care of thing on the home front. As soon as I get an answer from some of the suppliers I'll have something to post, But as for now I've not received a striaght answer.
