What kind of problem are you having? I friend of mine is running a glide in a 72 Olds Cutlass with a BB chevy. Race weight is about 3800 lbs and he runs consistent 6.50s in the 8th.

I have a friend running a 'glide in a 3200lb Mustang. It has a stroker small block making near 900hp and runs a 7,000rpm stall however, so it obviously isn't for street use!

A little bit about what I have..... The motor is a 383 with 12.5 compression, .640 lift 247/253@.050 112c/l solid roller, the heads flow 281/221@600(LT1 heads). It has a 5000 converter with 4.10 gears and a 28 inch tall tire. The computer is FAST.
This week we are replacing the gear with 4.56. The car runs good but it has more somewhere?? The last pass was at a 600' track it ran 6.80@92 w/a1.60 60'. The car lacks low and mid range... Any ideas on the combo?? Advice is greatly apppreciated
