power cutting out on car - help

this fall i did a complete overhaul on my engine and since its run great except for a few wierd occasions. Couple weeks ago i started my car and when i was givving it some revs in nuetral (3k highest) it just all of a sudden cut power... all lights went out..engine shut down immediatly and nothing worked. Turned the key a couple times and then power came back and everything worked fine. Radio was reset but other than that everything was fine.

2 weeks go by no other troubles and then as i was going around a turn in a parking lot power cut out... no power steering, lights everything. luckilly i was going slow so was able to brake and stop. turned key and she started right back up then cut power. popped hood and found nothing wrong or out of place... tried key again and she ran perfect.

since it hasnt happened untill lastnight when i was driving about 30 mph and going around a slight turn power cut out completely ..then about 2 secs later turned back on engine kept running and radio held settings.

only thing i can think of is something is shorting out .... but it doesnt matter if its dry or raining...and there seems to be nothing really consistent with its happening. I popped hood and have been going through all wires and fuses and cant find anythign that could be causing this. Anyone have any ideas? or anyone know what wires specifically would cause all power to just instantly die?

really dont want to lose power again while the cars moving... 9.5" 18's are pretty hard to steer with no power steering.

just out of curiousity if it was the ignition switch - would i lose power to everything... aka my radio resets - cause wouldnt the battery hold the memory otherwise?
