Is powder coat an alternative to Ceramic coating on headers?

I need to have my headers coated cheaply... I've heard of Do-it-yourself cermamic coating, but I expect that still requires baking.... I have access to powder coating.. is the effect of powder coating comparable?

Since powder coat is baked on which means it melts from a powder form to coat the part... Im going to guess header heat will just cause it to melt right off.

powder coating will not last for too long on headers,it will not protect the headers like the jet-hot coating etc.p/coat will not keep heat in the header at all compared to the jet-hot.back in the day a few of the" real racers"would paint their headers white (vht)still makes the hi-temp paint of course it did not work as well as the coatings of today but it stayed on for a long time..

I used a high temp paint on mine. It works okay, I've got a little rust on them, but thats my fault for not properly stripping the coat from the factory.
