Question SHIFTING

ok,
well i have an A4 and ive always thought it is faster to manually shift from 1-0D, but i heard from someone it is better to just leave it in D and let the car shift itself, what do u guys think is faster?
thanx

I hear it's better to leave it in Drive (not overdrive). I think the name on the gear indicator is different between firebirds and camaros, but basically you want 3rd gear. Then just punch it .
