Post Post pictures of OVC wires that do NOT go under the power steering pump

I routed mine under the pump, but I am replacing my crap arcing Taylors with MSD wires and I'd like to route them straight up from the opti. Anyone do this? can you post some pictures of how you routed them?

I seen pics of people who did this but their wires were all strap tied together coming up from the Opti.. That is not the best way to do it. Those wire should be seperated with looms of some sort. Behined the PWR Steering pump does that for you.. Why don't you want to do them behined the pump again? I too would like to see some other pics.

Apparently if you remove the tensioner there is an area that allows this. I've never done it this way, but a buddy of mine (who posts here) did this.

Same here, I was not impressed with the taylor wires at all. on my buddy's 95 Z we replaced them with the MSD, those are alot better IMO. We ran them behing the pump and A/C, then put convoluted(SP?) plastic tubing, like the kind they use for wireing harnesses to keep it from rubbing against the block.

That's how I did mine. Only caution is to be sure that the wires are well clear of the belt near the tensioner. I use a tie wrap that goes around the accessories mount, a little bit of a PITA to get it around it but once it's there you won't have any worries about the belt cutting the wires.

FWIW I too had problems with Taylor's arcing. I went with the MSD's and I believe that their wires are of a better quality. I like their crimping tool better and the little plastic numbering tabs that come with the wires is a nice touch.

Good luck.
