boltons are providing a LOT of these gains. A bolton car can put down over 300rwhp, think a few have pushed near 320.
I did a mild cam before a stall, car drove fine but was not any faster.
You could do something like a Crane 227(210/224, 112lsa) with springs since things are apart but it wont do a lot for you till you give it proper supporting mods.

 

So, maybe I should just get some roller rockers, and save for a head/cam, combo?

 

I would say- you will get the performance you are looking for from an LT4 hotcam kit and a good DYNO tune..- mail order tunes get close, but you wont unlock the full potential..

LOL, wasn't it 430 RWHP? I must admit, those numbers seemed a tad inflated. Granted, I don't know the elevation either.

Bolt-ons will only get you so far with an LT1. I'd say 310 is about the max you'll see in one, regardless of what you do.
