Post any numbers you have on "cam only" LT1 builds

Just curious to see somes dyno #s and maybe track times for cam + bolt on LT1s, stock or close to stock weight.

Friend has a cam only Caprice, stock weight 32-3300 stall 3.73s 28" slicks which are all wrong for the setup and it runs 13.5 even in 105F degree heat 4000ft. DA 87 octane full exhaust, belt on etc basically worst case scenario. Is a custom Advanced Induction grind similar to the HOT in duration, keep in mind he is severly lift limited by the iron heads and runs 1.52 rockers to keep lift down.

I had a 2800 stall 3.42 ZZ4 cam(208/221 .474/.510 112) in my Caprice that went 13.2 in a negative DA, my friend has a few pounds on me, big guy. Same conditions his would blown my old setup away.

With the mods in my sig on a stock tune I put down 305 rwhp. With it tuned it will run 12.9s to 13.1s all day.

I know a guy who went 11.95 et with a 503 cam only in a 1995 camaro with an auto., along with other bolt on's, stall, gears, slicks, etc.

Hotcam, stock rockers, mac headers, 3" exhaust, intake... through a 6 speed. 322rwhp/333rwtq on a Mustang Dyno.

cam only cars are going to put down anywhere between 310-385 rwhp. This depends on if you running a hotcam or cc305 all the way up to a solid roller that decent sized.
If you search around, in the search section or just by looking about people sig's you ll find plenty.

I think the most you'll see is 340-350rwhp on stock heads, but I'm always open for someone to prove me otherwise

Well kind of...but it was a 1LE car.....it was 3150 with me in it. had ALOT of MPH. was a really good set-up for what it was. That was so long ago I forgot most of it. But it was stock rockers, small cam, stock intake and TB, longtubes with 3" edelbrock t304's, no PS, E WP, DR's, cut 1.70 60' and went 7.70's in the 1/8 I had been 92 in the 1/8 Was a m6 with 4.10 also 27" tire

Mine made 358/370 with an xe224/236, 1.6rr's, MAC shorties, CAI, and catback. Only time at the track with this setup it went 12.98 at 112 in much less than ideal conditions on worn street tires.
I'm pretty confident that on better tires on a cool day without a 25-mph headwind it would have gone at least 2 mph faster.

Now that's what I wanted to hear!

Just curious, were you running an electric pump or the stock style setup?
