I'm contemplating selling my T56 and going with an auto maybe th400 if I can, othwerwise 4L60E. How hard is it to convert over from manual to auto. I know "why would you want to do that anyway" but I'm just thinking about it.

 

I don't think it would be really hard to swap to a th400. The 4L60e would probably be a harder swap because you would need the additional wiring for it.

I have been thinking of changing mine from an auto to a 6 speed so let me know what you would take for the t56 if you decide to swap.

 

The wife won't drive manual. A th400 pretty much just bolt right up? What else has to be done, reprogram pcm, hook up linkage, new center console, anything else?
