IS THis Possible on Heads

Hey guys I have a question I have my LT1 heads off my 94. Before when i was bolting down my intake I noticed that one of the threadings on the heads had stripped. I was bolting down one of the bolts and it got tight for a quick sec then stripped. So I was wondering since I have the heads off right now. CAN the threading on the head be RE =THREADED so that my bolt will bolt into the head? Thanks
Chris

P.S. I have allready tried a HELI COIL. It didnt work

Drill it out and tap it for a bigger bolt if a helicoil wont work (i dont see why a helicoil wouldnt work)

Shouldn't be too difficult to tap the threads. Just find the right kind of bolt to replace it with and you should be good to go. It would be easier to do it with the heads on so that they don't move on you. Just don't let shavings fall down in the lifter valley. Also be careful with the aluminum. Its obviously softer than iron. I would also tq it a little less than specified since it is retaped and a bigger bolt. Good Luck. Where is it at?
