Re: Porting Kits

I don't think any of those kits will work by themselves. It also depends on how much material you plan on removing, or if you are just going to clean up the casting. You'll need a really good rotary tool, preferably an extended reach air die-grinder, or at least a high powered dremel. As for the bits I would get a wide variety kit of abrasives, like the 1st one listed, as well as the 6 inch non-ferrous deburr carbide shanks, and if you could find a set of shorter carbide shanks to do the edge of the ports that would be good too. Those longer bits allow you to get in further but arent can bit a pain to keep steady on the edges. Oh and the most important thing, SAFEY GLASSES. Ya I thought I was gonna slip by here and there and not wear mine when I was being lazy. Those shavings fly eveywhere. If you can I would highly recommend finding a junker or cheap aluminum intake to just get some practice on.
