Porting Intake Manifold

yo guys i tried asking this before without much luck, i am trying to find out if its a good idea to get our LT1 intakes ported out. Jordan Musser and Bret Bauer can do it, but of course its more expensive but looks amazing, done the right way.

basically whats the cost/benefit look like? Assuming $200 for the intake done out to like a Stage2 as Jordan phrased it, what kind of additional hp can be seen with this? This would of course be going on a modded car, heads, cam, headers, etc...

In addition, would a 52mm edelbrock throttle body be fine as far as power is concerned on even a ported manifold??

if anyone has dyno graphs, please list them too!

Jordan does go work if he doesn't get lazy......

Seriously though you can port yourself for no more than what you need.

Thats why i am thinking of the stage2 suggestion from him, rather than the stage3 which would be overkill. at stage3 you get custom welding for super high hp applications. i realize that even a stage2 might be considered overkill but then again i only want to do it once, and afterall, there are people out there putting 236/242 cams in their bone stock cars...go figure that one.

this project however i dont think would be quite as much of overkill if any.

let me rephrase it then---when heads are mildly to heavily ported, is a ported intake manifold a good idea and/or neccessary???

Intake is the last thing that you need to do. GM overdesigned it. Put your money in the heads.
