Yes I would replace the injectors. It's not a great idea to run high fuel pressure on stock injectors due to the injector style...which is much worse than the SVO pintle style. The stock injectors have a tendancy to lock up under high fuel pressure....which definately is not something you would want....especially if you're trying to PREVENT a lean condition. If you get SVO injectors they are rate at a lower fuel pressure and at stock LT1 fuel pressure they are more like 32lb....so what he said about running at a higher pressure I guess kinda is right...just not very smart to do hehe.

Basically, i want to protect my investment, and not have to worry about melting a piston if i take her up tp 6400 RPM.

I really appreciate all the information though, i thought i knew alot about these motors, but you have humbled me

thanks

If you are not worried about cost then absolutely it would be better to buy new injectors. I just wanted to let you know you don't have to buy injectors if you don't want to. I have run my car with the higher fuel pressure settings for over a year now with no problems but I don't have your mileage. Anyway good luck with your project and I hope it runs great for you.

P.S. FireAm94 how do you like your Strange rear? I am trying to decide on a new one and am undecided as to the Strange or Moser. I am leaning toward the strange unit though.

I love it! The rear even came filled with fluid! hehe The only thing you'll have to do is swap your brakes over and change the ujoint in ur driveshaft. I'd tell you it's strong as hell but I haven't driven it over 1k miles yet (supercharger + stock shortblock = bye bye ringland). Now it's 383 with Musser heads and the bottle.
