Port and Polish Stock heads!?

Hey guys Im planning on doing a port and polish job on my stock LT1 heads this spring/summer. My question is what is the largest port size you do on the exhaust side of the head, and the largest port size on the intake runner side of the head..
Thanks.

Never ported heads before and I don't plan to, but I would think that you would want to port them the same size as the gasket you are using. You should get a hold of Lloyd Elliott. He does a lot of work for people on the board and can help you out a lot. Based on what you are looking for I bet Lloyd can hook you up for a great price. He did for me.

Thanks,
Anthony

Re: Port and Polish Stock heads!?

I ported mine back in '99. It's a lot of work, believe me. I logged in about 50 hours to do the heads complete.

Have a good air powered die grinder, compressor, and some hearing/eye protection.

Aluminum is nice to work with compared to iron heads.
