Port matching on Intake,, Worth it ?

Is port matching the Intake worth a few ponies ?

i've been told several times that its not worth it... there's really not much you can port on an LT1 intake... they are already pretty ported out

Yeah stock unported intake here. I'm actually on stock tb and stock maf too. I wonder if going to a 52mm tb will help me at all.
