the regulator is on the return side. I don't see what good it would do to put a gauge in the return.......I don't understand that, the return goes straight to the tank with no restrictions....Am I not understanding somthing?

I can datalog but its no use without the wideband. But look at this pic, the regulator is on the T-stat block off, it has a gauge port in it. I have a mechanical under the hood, I have an electric inside the car that come from the Y fitting. Thats the best pic I can get right now, I will get better ones in the morning

What does the fuel pressure on the regulator say? That is hooked up right, I misunderstood.

Does this system have a MAP/BAP sensor? I am sure it does.....what does it read when all this popping is going on, the MAP on a speed density system is the key component.

yeah it has a map.....it does it at 100. As soon as you hit the throttle it goes to 90+ I got it idling about 75 now....thats the lowest I can get it by adding timing. But that helped my idling alot smoothed it out.

I will try to data log it and get it to do it, and drive it. Then we can see exactly where the map is reading

Did you have the problem before you did that?

Check your tps voltage, make sure the voltage is within spec.
Check your plug wires 5 & 7 are not switched. It will run but will pop through the intake if you stab the throttle, and will rev up to a high rpm if you ease into it.
Good luck.

yeah thats not it,

yeah same thing.

Its in the tune I'm sure of it........something to do with how the fuel map transitions

I think its the Rate of acceleration enrichment.
Have to drive an hour to get more fuel, I'm out.

Thanks for the help so far

DO it worse cold or hot? There is a table that is fuel vs coolant temp, fuel vs map I am pretty sure. ALso the same for spark.

Does it have any codes? It has those capabilities.

DId you do the initial setup?

Engine size, injector size, tps off volts blah blah blah.

I wish you were closer I would like to fiddle with that deal.

Mine did the same thing yours is doing until I had the injectors cleaned. If it was a carb setup, I'd change out the squirter to a bigger one. I'd say it's a lean out when you stab the throttle. I think you're on the right track with the tune. Just hav to figure out how to get more fuel when the vac drops to 0 when you stab it;. TPS adjustment maybe? Just a few thoughts. Let us know what fixed it .
