POLY tranny mounts suck!?!?

I broke the piece of crap Autozone replacement mount like a month after installing it, I mean I didnt break it, it broke, sure I shift hard, but my stocker lasted 20000+ miles wiht my driving and a Stage 3. Anyway, I replaced it this time with an Energy Suspension Poly mount. I cant stand this thing, everything vibrates times 5 now, and makes even more noises, and also if you punch the throttle in a higher gear you can really really feel the tranny BOUNCING, dont ask me why or how, but there was nothing wrong like this before I put the poly mount on, and now there is, so I know its the mount. It doesnt even feel that much stiffer than before, it actually smoothed out the shifts, almost too much where you can really feel it vibrating right into the next gear. Anybody else have these types of probs with a poly mount?

ask this question you will get a 100 answers all different...

I personally feel no difference between my ES Poly Tranny mount and the stocker one, it feels more firm between shifts but thats it...
My buddy has a Prothane one and absolutely hates it...

Never felt a difference.
Of course with Double Diamond subframes and Granatelli Gload brace and strut tower brace I probably wouldn,t

I have the ES mount and it may be a tad rougher, but the LS1 driveshaft may fix that. It did on mine. Tranny doesn't bouce around like it used to.

I put the ES poly mount in about 5 years ago when my car was still an M6. It finally stopped the shifter from moving all around and bouncing around in the boot. Maybe a slight increase in noise, but nothing objectional. I liked the improved feel of the tranny, and the improved "lift" from the stock torque arm on a hard launch. It wasn't stretching the tranny mount any more.

I still use the same mount, first under the TH400, and now under the Gear Vendor mounted behind the TH400, and it is still holding up to 800ft-lb/800HP.

Are you sure you installed it correctly, with the curved edge pointed in the right direction, and the pre-load plate correctly in place?

Well Im 90% sure I installed it correctly but it was dark out and I was using a lead light with a 40 watt bulb in it so theres a chance I didnt. The curved edge is supposed to be pointing which direction so I know for sure.

You think this could be causing these unusual problems?

I put one on mine and it made it shake like a dog crapping razor blades at any speed over 70mph even with the 1LE aluminum driveshaft. I chose the "shotgun" approach and installed a 1LE mount along with a LS1 aluminum driveshaft. That fixed the vibration but I wonder what it would be like without the preload plate. I am of the opinion that the extra height of the ES mount throws off the driveline angle. The 1LE mount tames that shifter bounce but it isn't as strong as I would like. It is also not available anymore. The only one still available is the LS1 mount that has an interlocking feature that prevents it from separating if you tear the rubber isolator.

Mine vibrates from about 65-75 but nowhere else. Doesnt bother me too much. Throttle it a little or let it go under and it is fine.

What he said. That's the same experience I had, but I also had the low speed (at about 2k rpm) resonance from my LM to boot. I kinda like it

Heard most everyone say they hated it. Decided to put in on anyway. Glad I did. A tad more vibration, but definitely tighter.
