i had one in my 96Z for over a year, and had no problems with it. i even had the lou's short stick which doesn't have the "vibration dampening bushing" in the base, and i didn't notice any adverse increases in noise or vibration.

i did seem to notice a more solid shift (or should i say spin) as i powershifted into 2nd.

i will say it was kindda a pain to install, at least in a dirt parking lot and by myself...i would suggest having a buddy help out...reinstalling the bracket takes a bit of muscle and a 3rd hand would help out alot
