PO1406 trouble code
Re: PO1406 trouble code
I'm confused. Is the code on the '94? That's an OBDII code, but a '94 is OBDI, unless you changed to OBDII. However, the code is for an EGR problem. The two most common causes are:
1. Clogged, sticking or binding EGR valve pintle or seat
2. Backed out terminals, damaged connectors or wiring

Re: PO1406 trouble code
I have a list of DTCs for the LT1 on my website and that is not one of them listed.
You are probably going to say it is a V6 (if so, should have posted in the V6 forum). P1406 is an EGR valve pintle position code. The V6 uses an electronic EGR valve. The valve may be clogged, wiring or connector broken or valve bad.
