Po100?
Po100?
Po100 MAF sensor insufficient voltage
I tested the yellow wire to black wire and got 5 volts which seems normal.
I then tested the pink to black wire and got .125 volts which doesn't look normal.
My question is where exactly does the pink wire go to, is this more than likely my problem? I've heard that this wire has been a problem with some people. Do I just start following the wire to see where my problem is?
And my car seems to run just as good as it did before I got the code.

Re: Po100?
With key on/engine off, harness connector off the MAF, you should get at least +12V on the pink wire. Its becoming very common for the 1997 models to have a break in this pink wire, somewhere in the harness. There are a couple other things powered by the same circuit, and they generally don't show the same problem... just the part of the harness that ends at the MAF.
Try running a 12V wire to the connector/pin for the pink wire, and see if it solves the problem.

Re: Po100?
I have had the intermittant ses on and off due to a p0100 for the past year.. after 2 or 3 different mafs I just replaced the wire 2 weeks ago. and the ses has not been on sense !!
It is not really that hard. The hardest part is getting all of the old tape off of the wire harness.
basically the maf power wire splices in near the heater box. I opened the wire bundle up all the way to the heater box, cut off the old wire and spliced a new piece of wire in. i left the last 6" of pink wire on both ends (to the maf, and out of the bundle where it is spliced originally)
I ended up replacing the wire with 18 gauge instead of the 20 or 22 gauge stock.
hope this helps
