need help! multiple codes.
Okay i bought my 97 z28 a couple of weeks ago. I've fixed a broken fuel line, #6 cylinder misfire, 2 exhaust leaks, and cleaned the MAF sensor. First off i have multiple codes: po100 MAF or VAF circuit malfunction, po118 engine coolant temp circuit high input, po141 and 161 both o2 sensor codes. P1351 ignition coil a primary/secondary circuit malfunction.
Where to start? When the car is cold it starts fine, if i drive for 10 minutes and restart it i have to hold the gas to the floor to get it to start then rev it for a few seconds or it will idle rough and die. The car is running VERY rich and getting horrible gas mileage around 10 and that was on the highway. When im driving amd hit the gas real quick its like the throttle body opens but nothing happens. Anyone have an idea of whats going on?

Re: need help! multiple codes.
change or fix the coolant temp sensor. same with the maf sensor. check shoebox's website for how to's and diagrams. www.shbox.com
Re: need help! multiple codes.
Forgot to mention that there is a loud hissing coming from the cold air intake filter and if you take everything off it comes from the throttle body. Its not as loud when in park but when in gear it gets louder.
Re: need help! multiple codes.
P0100 is often the result of a broken pink wire in the MAF wiring harness - a problem peculiar to the 97's. Use a voltmeter to see if you have 12V between the pink wire and the black/white ground wire, with the key on, and the harness connector unplugged.
It's running rich because of the coolant temp sensor failure. If replacing the sensor didn't help (you did replace the 2-wire sensor in the water pump housing for the PCM, and not the 1-wire sensor in the drivers side head for the gauge???) check the wiring.
P1351 is for an open circuit in the wire to the IC (ignition control) module.
P0141 and P0161 are failures of the 12V circuit to the heaters in the O2 sensors. You may have a problem with the fuses. Check your Owner's Manual to see which fuse supplies which circuits.
