Re: plugs and wires suggestion

ngk tr55 spark plugs i have them and they run better than stock imo, plus everyone recommends them and their cheaper. napa has them. for like $2.50 each.delco's cost too much and platinums not very good for the nos. wires no idea. But i see that your gonna get headers so either go to thunderracing.com get the ovet the valve cover kit for $100 u will have to cut and but on the boots yourself not very fun, or i think elitesparkplugs have the otvc made already.

Re: plugs and wires suggestion

I know the Delco plugs are expensive but I read alot of the posts here and many suggested staying with the original type. The car is new to me so I have no info on other type plugs. Mine were bought at Autozone. For the wires, I bought them from Summit. The wires had good reviews and tolerate heat very well. I also changed both myself and saved several hundred dollars, but took a little time.

I will always go with OEM plugs even if they ARE $6.50 each. Sitck with the AC Delco's. As for wires, I went with the MSD 8.5mm super conductor's. They're nice, but you will need to get new wire clamper gripper holder thingers, if you know what I mean, cause the stock ones will be too small for the thicker wire.

Re: plugs and wires suggestion

Just replaced my plugs today and installed the NGK TR55's since a lot of people on this board like them and noticed my car idles better now. I bought them at Oreilleys for $1.49 each.

Re: plugs and wires suggestion

IMO, it's a good habit to get into changing plugs every year. Especially if you ahve headers (since it's easier). So go with the cheaper, TR55s.
