Well i started it today and the temp gauge starts shooting up to 270 since the reprogram of the fans it almost never hits 160. so i pull over and let it cool down. Im trying to drive it home and i put on the heater to help cool it down and it blows really cold air! Then about half to my house the heater kicks back on and starts blowing hot air and the engine starts cooling down. WTF!?! Its the second time its done it and it only does it like once every 2 weeks or so. What could this be guys. My waterpump isnt leaking but there is a bit of coolant under the car. What is going on??!?

 

Check for a leak around the heater core and related hoses. Try bleeding off any air in the lines.

 

Also check for a stuck thermostat.

u might wanna reprogram just incase..
