please help me pick the right header

I have decided that the last modification i would do to my car would be headers. I was looking on ebay and i found BBK headers and Y pipe http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tem=2452506172 , would these work on my 1997 formula? I am not worried about connecting the intermediate pipe, I am more worried about the egr and whatever other kinda emissions crap there is, so will these work? And what about MAC midlengths, would they give more power? And where can i find the best price on them for my 97? Let me know your opinions guys. I ran a 13.89@100, i wanna get down to around 13.3 or 4. Tell me what headers are the best and where i could find the best price on them.

Depends on how much power your looking to make dude.. THe ultimate would be some hooker long tubes, or some jet hot long tubes.. But if your not really to concerned with the ultimate then I would stick to whatever your looking at.

Also, i forgot to ask about the Jet Hot long tubes. Where can I get the best price on those, and would i gain the most power from them?

If you have the funds, TPiS or Finish Line Performance. Jet-Hot and Hooker's are also excellent choices, but avoid the cheap LT's on eBay...

Thanks for the reply's guys.... I have my mind set on Long Tubes now, I figure for the amount of work needed to install them, I may as well go all the way. Where can I get The hookers or the jet hots for the best price? Oh,, and can I get an offroad Y pipe for the headers somewhere too for a reasonable price? Will these headers come as a kit as well with the gaskets and such? Will anything else need to be purchased to fit my 97

Don't waste time looking for a y-pipe online.. You will pay WAYY to much and they don't always fit that great

Just get your headers on then go down to an exhaust shop. Not some "HIGH Performance Muffler, or Super Muffler rape you in the a$$" shop. Just go to some regular exhaust shop and find someone who does good work.. You gotta do some looking around on this.. I ended up getting my y-pipe done from a guy at some crummy old shop, only cost me $80 and mine is flanged at EVERY END so it's completly removeable and I had about 6 other people that have seen my y-pipe go to the same place to get theirs after they seen mine...

So don't just go to one shop, you gotta search around.. Hell the first shop I went to said $220 I was thinking they were gonna mold me one out of titanium or something for that lousy a$$ price
