Please help me identify what's missing.

Finally got the oil leaks fixed on my LT1, and found I'm apparently missing a hose or something from under the throttle body. It looks pretty rusted, so it's obviously been gone a while, but can someone look at the pic and see if you can tell what I need (and if it's important)?

Thanks,

Rob

That appears to me to be the coolant inlet on the bottom of the throttle body. Most guys who do the throttle body bypass simply cap that off along with a similar looking one thats on the left side of the throttle body and connect the two coolant hoses together. Heres a site that explains it all. Someone probably already did it if it isnt leaking coolant however.

Yep that's right, couldn't be anything else that low than the coolant pipe from the TB. You should spray it with some rust penetration spray and cap it.

Thanks

Guess I gotta check it now to make sure it was done properly, considering the previous owner did some other questionable maintenance.

Thanks for the quick responses though - I was a little concerned when I discovered this.

I think that hose you see in the top-left corner of the picture was originally connected there... looks like the TB was by-passed. Doesn't look like you have anything to worry about.
