Please help me figure out whats goin on!

Hey, this is my first time using this, but hope someone can help. I was driving this morning, and a small pin size hole broke open in my bypass hose spraying coolant all over the hood and front of the engine. I shut the car off, replaced the hose, filled up the coolant, and the car wouldnt restart. It will crank and start to run for about a second, then immediately cuts out. Im wondering if maybe this might be the distributor. Ive always heard the horror stories of the opti-spark getting wet and not working, and i cant think of anything else it may be. Any info or guidance would really be appreciated. Also, if it is what i think it is, do I need to replace the distributor, the cap, or both? And how bad of a job is it to do? I hope someone can steer me in the right direction, I really need to get this car back on the road! By the way, its a 1995 z28, 6 spd, with the lt1. Thanks!

as i read on another post....try disconnecting vaccum harness from opti and blowing compressed air through vent holes to dry up any excessive moisture. good luck.

Check all the wiring related to the plugs, coil, IC Module, etc. Make sure its not soaked with coolant that may have seeped into the connectors. Pull the plug wires and coil wire out of the Opti and make sure the ends are not wet or corroded. Pull the harness connector off the Opti and make sure its not wet or corroded.
