and then it won't hit a lick. It started one unwillingly and then won't start anymore. Fire is a very weak orange and it will not start now, anyone know it might could be? New cap, Rotor Button, coil and Opti. I have tried another coil and still no help, car was running fine with just some cut out on the top end and now nothing. please chime in if you have any ideas.

 

Would not be the first time a new opti is junk. Need more info any codes? Check connection!

 

You must be sure that you:

got the opti on correctly

made sure the electrical harness is connected properly

made sure spark plug wires are on in the correct order

 

My guess is that the opti is on wrong. I made the same mistake when I installed mine the first time. My car wouldn't start at all. It would try once in a while but it wouldn't run for more than five seconds and that was like it was running on one cylinder.

 

Well this is not the first opti that I have installed. I have installed several with never haveing a prob. I have had it off three different times and same situation. just exactlly what can you do wrong while installing one????

 

Well I suppose the new opti is bad. That is bull ****!!!!!
