Please guys...need some help.

Most of you know I just threw my motor in a month ago. I got 1200 miles on it now and the cars runs great. This is my problem. Every since I started running the motor I could hear the normal ticking sound coming from the valve train and it was prety quiet. Yesterday when I started it I heard the same ticking sound but more with like a high pitched squeek to it. Today it was even louder. Super loud squeek that replaced the ticking. Its coming from the passenger side valve cover. The car still runs good and when the car warms up the sound goes away.

I wanna run the car for the first time on friday night and I also use it for work and need it tomorrow. Has anyone had this problem or know what it is. I have an idea but want an honest opinion.

Thanks a lot.

Maybe its time to tighten one of those naughty rockers. Maybe it didn't set in correctly like the others? Why are you asking me?

Maybe one of the rollers one of the lifters or rocker arms has started to sieze up for some reason? It's hard to tell without being there in person. Try readjusting the valves and see if that helps.

gona try to adjust today. I have 1200 miles on the motor and have never readjusted them. I just never heard of the high pitched squeeking type noise and dunno why it goes away when it warms up. Thanks guys. I really appreciate the comments.

Could it be possible that there are 2 sources to the noise? could there be a vacuume leak and a lose rocker?
