Plastic on steering knuckle
Plastic on steering knuckle
Hey guys, just had the motor running for a bit. I noticed the plastic piece down by the steering knuckle was melting on the header, can u just totally remove that piece without worrying? Or is it protectin something? I guess I could also alter it in someway to keep it away from the steering
Re: Plastic on steering knuckle
I'm guessing you mean the steering shaft. The knuckle is at the wheel. The plastic is to keep any debris from possibly jamming up the joint. I'm sure there are plenty out there without this piece.
Re: Plastic on steering knuckle
Not so fast, if you plan on selling the car and you have a educated buyer one of the tell tail signs of a car that's been in front end accident is the plastic covers missing or damaged. Just some food for thought.
