Piston choise

Well the block is at the shop and the cylinders were a tad oval so it's geting an overbore....What cind of pistons would you suggest to go with, brand type, where to get etc? I guess forged is a bit overkill right?, for, well I don't know how much it will make, about 330-350 rwhp...
I'm going to put a hotcam kit in together with some pp LE heads with 2.02/1.6 valves when I get the block back.

Thanks for any input!

Before picking pistons, you need to figure out what your intentions are for the car. Are you racing it? Nitrous? Going to supercharge it? If you are just going to drive the car and not race it, then the Hyper pistons are all you need.

Yeah, I was just thinking about that...not going to supercharge it...I might put it under a small shot of nitrous in the future but not for now...So I guess some nice hypereutectic will do...looking at some KB as I write this...

JE makes some nice pistons. I've got a set of their forged blower pistons.

If you even think you might spray get forged. Couple screw-ups tuning on that nitrous with hyperpuketectics and you get to do it all again.

SRP makes a nice fair priced forged piston. That's what I'm building with.

I agree, SRP's are a nice medium priced forged piston that will handle anything I'll ever throw at it...or atleast a few pounds of boost
