Question Pilot Bearing

Did a search but only came up with pros/cons between pilot bearing/bushing. I have a pilot bearing to install but want to make sure I am installing it the right direction. Please help me!!!
Thanks in advance.

Unless you're dead set on using the bearing, go ahead and get the bushing. Autozone has it for about $4.

Here's from a fellow member's install guide:

"With a rubber mallet and socket that fits right around the lip of the pilot bearing, install the bearing into the crank. Be sure the flat side goes into the crank and the beveled side is toward the tranny (a gentleman named Brian emailed me to let me know that he installed his backwards and it seized up). It should be flush with the crank when it is fully in. Try not to touch the inside, it has grease in it." ( www.afrashteh.com/tranny_pics/T56.htm )

Just make sure you lube up the inside of the bearing and the input shaft with a good hi-temp grease before putting it all back together.

That's why you see the conversion kit listed in my sig bro

Finding a loaded, woman-driven, bone stock 95 Z28 with only 63K miles is the reason I have an auto. Just couldn't pass it up even though I REALLY wanted the M6.

LOL, thats the same reason I got mine. Except mine is 94 with 61k. Next summer I might start looking for another one, but a M6 this time.
