TheHeadFL,
I was just about to say the same thing. Some people have had luck with modifying their firewall a bit on the OBDI, but when I was installing mine, I just couldn't see how they would fit even with the firewall mod. I remember mine were always getting stuck on the A4 bellhousing. I'm wondering if they'd be easier on an M6?
Tanker,
It's not nice to lie to people. That imported 4 pack 1.5L sumbitch reved to 6-7K put your Supra to shame (not that it wasn't already in shame
) in its very own engine smoke of glory.
I bet it would've killed it even in reverse.
As for the O2s, I only had to extend my passenger side and I did solder it. I made some logs and the readings on that sensor were consistent with the other sensor, so it must be working fine.
I thought about the M6 conversion, but then I decided to stay with the A4 on this one. It's been very consistent at the track and it's much easier on the rear than an M6.
A good rebuild will be about $1K including shipping, so it's not that bad. M6 conversion will cost close to $1.5-$1.7K once it's said and done, plus I'll need a much better clutch and with a better clutch and sticky tires, the rear will not be happy.
