A while back I saw an LS1 single setup (might be the turbotech) that used the factory passenger manifold and a custom inverted driver side header with a turbo flange attached; both connected with a crossover pipe. The inverted header allows enough space for the downpipe to come back near the header and cross over the top of the steering linkage.
