Jordan Musser is working on a single turbo LT1 build up. You should PM him about it.

how would you do that? have like a y pipe leading to a turbo? how where would you mount it where the pipe lenghts would be equal?

Check out BMR suspension as well. They're doing a single-turbo f-body. It's not an LT1, but you'll get the idea. Basically a set of custom headers flow forward into a y-pipe. The turbo sits in front of the engine in most cases. I've never seen it done any other way. I guess theoretically you could run it off of one bank, but that would just be stupid b/c the flow would be different for both banks of the motor.

Check out www.turbotechnologyinc.com They use a turbo header on the driver's side, and a crossover pipe from the passenger side manifold/header that bolts to the back of the turbo header. The turbo mounts on the driver's side between the engine and shock tower.

The LT4 Hotcam is not an optimal cam for a turbo setup. Best bet is to have something custom-ground that's turbo-friendly.

I think the LT4 hot cam would probably be an alright cam for a forced induction setup given it has very little overlap. Is this a wrong assumption?

The stock cam is ground on 116 or 117 LSA (lobe separation angle). The higher this number is, the less valve overlap there is. The hot cam is ground on a 112 LSA which has much more overlap. Most aftermarket LT1 naturally-aspirated cams are either 112 or 114 LSA.

http://www.ls1motorsports.com/ has a 9 sec LS1 using stock crank single T-74 turbo. No turbos for LT1 though, but pretty fast.
