I am lookin for a picture of a carbed 4th gen....race car street car or whatever just so I can show someone how much you have to cut the cowl. Thanks

i dont think you have to, gm made a lt1 carb intake.

those are more for if you want to drop a carbed lt1 into a non 4th gen. car.

I've got a Sony Image Station album with probably 15 or 20 pics of a carb'd 502 ci 4th gen. If interested, they start on the first page of The Gathering 6 index then go from there.

admittedly this article goes a bit overboard on information, but if you're patient enough to read thru it you can see what putting a carb motor in a 4th gen F-car involves. Also a lot of interesting information about building a car from the ground up

I'm pretty sure you could cut out a lot LESS than that if you went with a low profile air cleaner or a remote air cleaner (similar to the Vortec truck engines). No need to have that huge air cleaner shoved up under there with it...

probably true but that car was built to a specific set of class rules that dictated engine, manifold, carb, hood, etc......so they were pretty much locked into making it work as it was.
