people with jethot headers please

I was just wondering if anyone else has noticed any color change in their longtube headers with the jethot coating?? when i look under the car where the 4 tubes come togeather its a rust color and they are nicked up pretty bad. anyone have this problem?

Hot water should clean most things off right? just get the headers nice and hot and spray them off?

My coating still looks fine, not quite as shiny, but not bad either.

On my first set, they dulled then about a half a year later they flaked and rusted.

People have been nickel plating stuff for the exhaust since the day they chromed the exhaust for a motorcycle.

Nickel is durable and tarnishes but if prepped properly never rusts. Note though, nickel has no heat barrier properties.

IF the headers are nicked, it's going to nick the coating off and they'll rust in those spots. That's why only the bottom of most people's headers rusts. In some cases, though, it does spread. Mine still look like new after 4 months, aside from a spot where i scraped them (and the coating)
