Which PCMs are interchangable???

I bought this 95 camaro Z28, couldnt figgure out why it wont get fire, new coil, ignition module was good, but nothing, i took the car to a shop i trust today, they called and said that the computer part number or somthing doesnt match, none of the ones i have do they said, i gave them 2 more when i dropped it off, i thought they were all interchangable, i told him this and that to make sure he did not run the 95 model OBD II connection poer with OBD II and to run it with OBD I, he has not called back yet, any info is greatly appreciated guys, i need this thing on the road ASAP, the car was sitting for a year before i bought it, replaced the opti and waterpump.

One of the extra PCMs are from a 95 SS and the other from a vette, imnot sure what year the vette PCM is from.

94-95 PCMs should interchange and 96-97s should.

96 - 97 are OBDII, you need an OBDI PCM that's not batch fire (93), so as Shoebox stated above, 94 - 95 PCM

That's me (notice my sig).
Maybe I should have clarified. 94-95s interchange with each other. 96-97s interchange with each other. 94-95s (OBD-I) are not the same computer as 96-97s (OBD-II). But, you can convert within these years from one OBD type to the other with minor modifications.

Ok, will they interchange at all and hook up??? I have 3 of them, i know one supposedly had a LT4 knock module, which of course tells me it was a 96 model vette PCM right?

LT1 Corvette, B-body and F-body use the same computers. F-body 94-97 computers have the same pinned connectors on the back, so any 94-97 engine harness will plug in. Anyone can put an LT4 KM in a computer, so it really means nothing.

Ok i found out that it will run with any PCM, if it is the OBD II on a OBD I car it will run in LIMP HOME MODE and what not, turned out that the pig tail wat missing the clip to connect to the OPTI, thanx for the help. The PCM will not read when a scanner is hooked up, any ideas? i know i am not the first to have this problem.
