pcmforless weirdness?
pcmforless weirdness?
well i installed my pcmforless tune after driving my car around for a few days with the new 373s untuned, then fire it up and take it for a spin, it shifts 1-2 hard but then hit the rev limiter in the 2-3 shift, i tried again and same results....so we took the car back home and turned her off and chatted with my friends for an hour or so, when i started it back up and drove it it drove fine, i then floored it again and the problem was gone? i tried flooring it a few times to see if it would happen again and it never did...what gives? did it need to be turned off for a while?
did you used to have 2.73's?
If so its the shiftpoints. When a local shop did my pcm programming for my gears, they didnt correct the shiftpoints. Because the car shifts based upon MPH, not RPM. Well basicly your cars shiftpoints need to be lowered. Mine does the same thing, mainly when Im going from a dead stop, it will hit it right before the 3rd gear shift. I got to get it fixed before I hit the track this year. Im hoping I can find someone local who will do it for really cheap. Cause all it is a shiftpoint.
Have Bryan fix the shiftpoints.

After programming your PCM it will take usually about 50 miles for the PCM to relearn itself. You may get idle serge weird shifting and all sorts of things until the PCM learns the new program. Every time I update my program from Bryan it does weid things for about 50 miles.

A GM mechanic told me any time you unhook the battery it takes 21 key starts to get the car back to its regular pattern because its looking for lowest idle.
My pcmforless chip is coming in the mail this week and I hope I don't have any trouble!!!!
