Post do i need lowering springs with 17" rims?

im currently looking at some ZR1s to put on my camaro and still have stock springs so wont my car sit high and look kinda weird w/o it lowered. i thought SS's were lowered 1 inch but i could be wrong. also, do i need any speedo changes or is the overall size of the wheel and tire the same as my 16" with stock wheel size?

you shouldn't have to if you maintain the same total circumferance of the stock rims. But the SS do not come lowered, or at least mine didn't with the Level 1 suspension upgrade.

Imo all Fbodies should be lowered. The 4x4 look is for trucks.
The bottom line is, it's not something you need to do. But your car will look and handle better with 17s and a set of drop springs.

depends on how much of the bottom end of you car that you want to keep Just kidding. Just realize that the more you drop your car, you put a limit on where you can drive. I've seen 2" drop cars and I'd hate to see them at my school. They wouldn't be able to get their front facia over the speed bumps. I have between 1.2" to 1.5" on mine and I can get around pretty well but still have to be careful of those steep driveways. Just to give you and example, I can no longer go up my friends driveway after I dropped my car. The tail pipes will not clear on the way up and the front facia will not clear on the way down.
